A Word About Deaf Adoptions
Raymond and Kathryn Montoya with their newly adopted daughter "Emily" from China! "Why are people sticking things into my ears? Why are people looking at me and constantly moving their mouths? Why do I have to go into this little room with all these wires stuck to my head and ears? My friends look at my new mama and move their mouth then they get a cup of milk. I move my mouth, but she doesn't even look at me. I want a cup of milk too! Why won't she look at me. I'm going to scream! Oh, now she looked at me. I am moving my mouth again, but she just looks away again. This is not working. Why does it always work for the others? I just want a cup of milk." (An excerpt from Emily's Story by Kathryn Montoya)

The frustration of a deaf child in a home where there is no education for them, no language for them and no way to use what hearing they have left is impossible to measure. Deaf children need a loving enviroment where they can be understood and have the ability to understand others. If you feel that God is calling you to adopt a deaf child let us know, we would love to help get you started!

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world" (James 1:27)
